The Capitol is trying to ensure that guests do not notice small doors everywhere, but they are important

Washington, the center city of the USA, honorably bearing the name of the first president, is a real expanse for tourists. One of the main places where you need to visit in the first place, of course, should be called the Capitol. The reason is not only that it is the meeting place of the country's Congress and a magnificent symbol of democracy and freedom, but it also keeps many secrets. One of them is small doors scattered around various rooms.

When you are on an excursion here, be careful and do not let the speeches of the guide accompanying you take your eyes off the most interesting. After all, that's why no one almost notices mini-doors. Meanwhile, each of them is unique in its own way, different in decor, shape and color, but each time it is inscribed in the interior so as not to attract attention.

When these doors were spotted by one of the reporters and appeared on the Internet, people began to joke that these were passages for magical fairy-tale creatures that once worked in the Congress building. In fact, their purpose, of course, is completely different.

When a fire broke out in the building of the local library in 1851, the guard noticed a fire in time, but did not have time to extinguish it, because of which the flame quickly spread, destroying many valuable historical documents and books. Stopping the fire immediately prevented the lack of quick access to water. The lesson was learned clearly, and it was then that little mysterious doors began to appear, which in fact hide taps for quick water supply, buckets and fire extinguishers. A curious detail of the interior, is not it?
