Mysterious Belhaven: a bridge to nowhere

Europe is not in vain famous for being one of the most fascinating areas of the Earth for research, especially in the context of history and architectural monuments. Take Scotland, for example. It takes eternity to appreciate all that is amazing and beautiful that this country offers. How many incredibly atmospheric places that are exceptional in their significance and magnificence! And one of the most attractive for travelers (and even for the Scots) is ... in the sea.

Looking at the village of Biel from a great distance, one can pay attention to a very modest-sized bridge, as if peering out from the center of the sea. Seeing him, one immediately wonders: what kind of a bizarre building that seems so aimless, but having an abandoned and mysterious appearance?

Biel water is a current that is significant for the small village of the same name. Starting at Laggate Burn, for 4.5 km it passes directly through the village and finally connects to Belhaven Bay in the south of Scotland. At low tide, villagers and visitors use the bridge to stroll over the Biel Water and head to Belhaven Bay Beach. Here you can see breathtaking landscapes - sand dunes, salt marshes and lush meadows.

Locals and travelers are eagerly awaiting low tide to enjoy time on the beach. Especially considering that this is one of the warmest regions of the country, where you can swim in the sun much more often than in the rest of the territory. The panoramas here are incredibly impressive.

However, the tide creates an equally stunning atmosphere, opening up new prospects for the coast. At this time, most of the bridge is covered with water and walking on it is almost impossible. But for lovers of quiet, romantic landscapes and unforgettable moments, the tide is golden!

In the autumn and winter seasons, Belhaven Bay is covered in fog, which further enhances the mystical atmosphere of this place. And warm days fill the area with sparkling shades, turning Biel and the countryside into a real fairy tale. And, of course, year-round Biel and the river near the village are considered Mecca for landscape photographers.
