The historic Järvisydän Hotel on Lake Saimaa invites guests to the new SPA

Järvisydän is a unique hotel on a picturesque Finnish lake, where the traditions of hospitality are passed from parents to children. The hotel is already owned by the 11th generation of the Heiskanen family, and the coaching inn on this site existed in the middle of the XVII century.
Nowadays Järvisydän is known not only for its history, but also for bathing traditions. Here is the popular complex The Finnish Sauna World with three different types of saunas: the old "black", steam and traditional dry Finnish.

In the summer of 2017, the new Lake Spa complex opened at the hotel. It is built into the stone massif that surrounds the lake, and the entrance to the SPA is hidden by a forest canopy. Through large windows you can enjoy a peaceful view of the lake. According to the owners, the complex is harmoniously integrated into the surrounding landscape. Entering the SPA building, guests seem to enter a hidden forest cave - and in a sense this is really so. The relaxation area is arranged around a small, natural heart-shaped pond, which locals call the "heart of the lake."
In the design of the SPA, the designers of the Partanen & Lamusuo architectural bureau used only natural materials: wood, stone, living plants.
The interior resembles the abode of forest fairies, here you can completely merge with nature and disconnect from the bustle of the city.
The treatments at Lake Spa are based on traditional Finnish healing practices: Lapland facial massage helps strengthen facial contours, a hot stone massage from the lake shore relaxes and gives strength, and a foot bath with healing Finnish herbs instantly relieves fatigue.

Lake Spa is not only massage and water treatments. This is a full retreat, where you can come for a week, then to return to work completely updated. SPA classes include yoga, acroyoga, psycho-pilates, meditation, as well as lessons on the new Yogafunk method, which combines Ashtanga yoga vinyasa and dance moves.
Autumn on Lake Saimaa is a season of magical colors and amazing adventures.
In between SPA procedures, guests can go on a lake safari to watch the ringed seals living here, or on a small hike with an autumn picnic by the fire. In the evening, treat yourself to a Finnish local produce dinner at Savon Loitsu, a real tippi restaurant.

Järvisydän is a 4-hour drive from Helsinki and an hour's drive from Savonlinna Airport, which can be reached from the capital city of Vantaa by Finnair flight.
