$ 4.8 million toy airport for big boys

If a little boy lives inside you, for whom the world around is a big game, then you should buy a ticket to Hamburg for one of the autumn or winter weekends to see the world's largest operating airport model! And if you have children, then Miniature World in Hamburg should be included in the list of places to visit in Europe.

Just imagine:

- 40,000 lights
- 15,000 figures of people,
- 500 cars,
- 10,000 trees
- 50 trains
- 1000 wagons,
- 300 signals and traffic lights,
- 300 buildings and 40 aircraft ...

And, most importantly, this is not a static model! 40 aircraft and 90 vehicles are in constant motion.

Miniatur Wunderland is just one of Hamburg's many landmarks to discover. I already talked about it a few years ago, but then the airport was still just under construction, so I returned to Hamburg again this year.

The scale of the layout is 1:87 and it is located on an area of 150 square meters. m

What is there just ...

Of course, there is the Airbus A350, after all, Hamburg is the city of Airbus. This is the only plane that is not in the livery of the airline, in fact there is no such side. Each plane “takes off” and “lands” on special metal guides, and then moves along the territory of the airfield to the terminal or parking using special magnets.

Everything is absolutely real!

Aerodrome equipment rushes to each side; baggage is unloaded.

There are exotic types of aircraft, for example, Concord.

Or Ju-52, such a board is in the German Lufthansa fleet. If you are going to fly, be sure to look in the logbook and find the U-turn where the company's fleet is represented. In the summer months, you can fly this plane in different cities of Europe, the schedule and information is HERE.

Passengers can also click on the buttons mounted on the railing, triggering multiple scenarios of various actions.

The plane flew in and after some time flies off again, freeing up the parking lot.

The most interesting time is when the day is replaced by the night. The life of the airport does not stop even for a minute, unlike the real large airports in Europe, most of which are closed from 23.00 to 6.00 for takeoffs and landings.

There is an operating display that in real time reflects the status of flights.

There is a huge parking and railway station near the terminal. Naturally, trains are in motion and run between airports and neighboring thematic areas of the museum.

Of course, there is a place for humor, which is hidden in many miniature details, you just need to carefully look at them. Here the driver released the sheep from the side of his truck on the grass.

As I ordered above, the airport is just one of many facilities. Here you can easily get lost for a few hours, have a wonderful autumn or winter evening.
