A variety of environmental organizations from around the world, led by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, have come together to form a list of 100 species of animals, mushrooms and plants that are in urgent need of protection. Their joint report, which was attended by over 8,000 volunteers, was called “Priceless or Useless?”. According to biologists, these species without proper attention to the preservation of their population will completely disappear from the face of the earth until 2020. By the way, the list does not include animals that are already under active protection, such as, for example, Chinese tigers or Florida cougars.

Ararip Manakin

These birds are common in Brazil, and their number at the moment is only 779 individuals.

Ginger monkey

The number of this species of monkeys living in tropical forests in northeast Brazil, less than 1000 individuals.

Currently, the exact number of individuals of these frogs is unknown. They live in Ecuador, in the provinces of Guayas, Asuay and Cañar.

Indian big bustard

The total number of Indian bustards varies from 50 to 250 individuals.
