Ms Davis is the man who planted 8 million trees in Florida, USA

In Walton County in Florida (USA), former player and businessman MC Davis (Marion Clifton Davis) organized a private Nokuse Nature Reserve, which covers an area of about 21 thousand hectares.

The millionaire began to protect and restore the unique ecological wealth of the region back in 2000. Since then, he has invested about $ 90 million in his wonderful project, and about 8 million trees have appeared in the reserve. Today, all these seedlings can already be deservedly called a forest, which has become a home for a huge number of various rare species of animals. However, this is far from the end, because the Nokuse project program is designed for three hundred years.

Even before MC Davis got rich, he made a living working in a small trailer on a dirt road, and gambling in his spare time. So he accumulated his first capital and took up the gambling business, and then - trading in land and property rights, which brought him excellent profit.

However, about 20 years ago, his life and worldview changed instantly and dramatically. It all started with one bad day, when the future nature lover got stuck in traffic and was late for an important meeting. It was raining heavily on the street, and the man was very annoyed by the shattered plans. Suddenly, he noticed a school tent with the words "Presentation of the Black Bear." Curious, Davis went to him. In the tent, the children were given a lecture on the native land and on the extent of the death of nature in these places. It was then that the businessman received insight. Soon, he was already determined to change his whole life and devote his state to the protection and conservation of nature. He called his project Nokuse, which in the language of an Indian tribe means "Black Bear".

The millionaire spent several years redeeming land from logging companies in order to restore forest stands cut down there back in the 1930s. Years of work have brought amazing results. MS Davis was able to completely restore the ecosystem that reigned in that area before. Now here live such animals and birds as foxes, eagles, lynxes, raccoons, ospreys, armadillos and many others.

MC Davis has done a tremendous job, the benefits of which are invaluable. Unfortunately, in July last year, at the age of 70, this amazing man passed away, but his great work continues to exist thanks to the Black Bear project team and his family.
