In appearance, these are just steps with a picture, but look what happens when night comes!

The 16th Avenue Tiled Steps Project is an amazing project created under the leadership of ordinary San Francisco residents. Friends and neighbors came together to cover a staircase of 163 steps with elegant colorful mosaics. But this is not just a beautifully laid out staircase, real magic begins with the onset of night, when the moon appears in the sky.

Mirror tiles reflect moonlight at night and play with a delightful radiance when they catch the rays of the sun at sunrise or sunset. More than 300 people worked on this project for more than a year and a half. And about 220 people donated funds for its creation. The end result is certainly delightful, but the true beauty of creation only opens after sunset. This is what can happen when people come together and agree to work together for the common good.

In the afternoon, the steps look incredibly beautiful.

But at night, something truly magical happens.
