A rescued lion cub cannot sleep without its blanket, despite the fact that it has already grown

When Lambert's savior, Vicki Keihi first saw him in 2014, he looked more like a puppy than a mighty lion. A lion cub illegally bought by a family that no longer wanted to keep it, desperately needed help. And Keihi was more than happy to provide her baby.

“The previous owners illegally purchased it as a pet for their young children,” says Angela Culver.

“We heard from previous owners that he was sleeping in bed with his grandfather,” Keihi said. “So I brought a blanket for him, went into the aviary and laid it in one of the corners. He curled up on that blanket and immediately fell asleep. Ever since since then I always give him a blanket. "

Now Lambert is 2 years old and he still lives under the care of Keihi, because he is not able to survive in the wild.
