"Russian Tales" - German photoproject about unpredictable and boring life in Russia

Once we already introduced you to the works of Frank Herfort - a German whose heart was conquered by Russia in his youth. In many interviews, he admitted that for many years he has been interested in the lifestyle, mentality and uniqueness of the Russian people. His regular visits to Russia and shooting here confirm the ardent confessions of the photographer.

Herfort has been working on a photo project called Russian Tales for quite some time. The inspiration for him was the German’s reflections that Russia is an incredibly distinctive country, the people in which have a very original outlook on life. According to the foreigner, foreign, in comparison with our open spaces, is very boring and predictable. Here surprises rarely occur, in everyday life there is little entertainment and intrigue. Is it the case in Russia: anything can happen anywhere and anytime, just like in a fairy tale!
