5 reasons why there are no areas for children and families on airplanes

Screaming babies and children kicking in the seat, of course, terribly annoy everyone in the cabin, including their parents. Surely, having become a “victim” of children on the plane, you have repeatedly wondered why airlines do not equip special areas for children, for example, a “children's class” or a “family section”, as the famous Sir Richard Branson once suggested.

TravelAsk was also interested in this issue and found the opinions expressed in this regard by air consultants, pilots and aircraft engineers. Unfortunately, their reasoning is not too optimistic. Here are 5 reasons why you should not expect such an innovation at all.

It is financially unsustainable

It is not possible to control the inventory of this special section. In other words, on some flights you will meet many families, on others there will be none. The airline cannot afford to hold seats for a certain group of people, which may not appear on the flight.

Some people may be offended and sue

This sounds strange, but some parents (grandparents and others) may perceive a separate area for passengers with children as discrimination. Especially considering the fact that if such zones appeared on airplanes, they would be located in the tail, because first-class customers would not want to fly next to the children.

Not every family wants to fly next to other families

Your children are probably super well-mannered and quiet. So why don’t you get on an airplane next to other families traveling with children ?!

Baby crying is contagious. It may not be scientifically proven, but

One screaming child often leads to the fact that all children start screaming. Now imagine yourself among screaming children in a confined space at an altitude of several thousand meters.

No one will ever reserve places located directly near the children's area

It is this fact that probably affects the decisions made by airlines most of all. Share this post with your friends!
