Maldives resort Furaveri Island Resort & Spa installed a shredder at the reception to destroy passports. “Many of our guests at the exit say that they are ready to destroy the passport so as not to fly away from the island. We decided to help them realize what they wanted and set up a shredder with which getting rid of the passport is a matter of one minute”, - say representatives of Furaveri Island Resort & Spa. The hotel warns that the destruction of a passport is a serious step that can extremely complicate the guest’s life in the future, especially since the nearest Russian consulate is in neighboring Sri Lanka.
