Photos of the sights of St. Petersburg in the album of the 1880s

The famous Metropolitan Museum of Art digitized and opened up wide access to a completely unique publication about our magnificent northern capital. It was created in the 1880s by Jean-Baptiste Avanzo and is called "Souvenir from St. Petersburg". The book includes 24 photographs depicting the main pearls of the treasury of St. Petersburg - St. Isaac's Cathedral, Peter the Great Square, the Winter Palace, Palace Square, the Hermitage, Kazan Cathedral, Smolny Monastery, Nevsky Prospect, Admiralty and much more.
