The life of a single window: a photographer in Istanbul has been shooting a window in front of his apartment for 12 years

Alper Yesiltas is a lawyer and photographer who has been living in Istanbul for 24 years. For many years he saw this window every day from his room and only he could watch from this angle. Every day for 12 years, he looked at him and at the faces that appeared and disappeared in his aperture.

Yesilas once published several photos of a window on the network and unexpectedly attracted the attention of so many people. Then his photographs were used by publishers for the covers of several books, and after that they were even presented at the exhibition. Time passed, and the owners of the house decided to demolish it in order to build a new building on this site. While the dismantling took place, the photographer managed to make the final shots.
