The photographer presented sad and scary photos of addicts on the streets of Philadelphia

Kensington Avenue in North Philadelphia is known as a street of drugs and prostitution. The street stretches for almost 5 km and is considered one of the most dangerous and criminal areas. 36-year-old photographer Jeffrey Stockbridge took a series of photos called Kensington Blues, which documented the sad and gloomy reality of the locals.

In the period from 2008 to 2014, the photographer took very personal portraits of people to demonstrate the side of Philadelphia, which is rarely talked about publicly. People shared their stories with Stockbridge, talking about drugs, prostitution and other battles of their lives.

"The purpose of my work is to give people the opportunity to treat each other humanly, despite the differences," says the photographer. "I rely on the trust and sincerity of those I photograph." We suggest you take a look at these powerful and dramatic shots.
