Vizimbir Village - Mari Switzerland

The name Vizimbir breathes legends and mystery, and the epithet "Mari Switzerland", which they christened these places, cuts into memory and lures travelers here no worse than advertising on television. I admit, I have never been to Switzerland, but I got to the village of Vizimbir and want to talk about this corner of our country.

The path to Vizimbir lies through small villages and sunflower fields.

You won’t be able to rush quickly, in some places the roads leave much to be desired, plus it’s hard to drive past such beauty without stops.

This is a dead end. The guys here still ride on the luggage racks of bicycles. In the village of 40 houses, the school was closed, as there are very few students. The remaining go to the neighboring village.

The houses are not rich, but neat. Made from environmentally friendly materials. Drown, as you can see, with wood. There are a lot of forests in Mari El.

They meet in Mari El very hospitable. The national three-layer pancakes will surely be served - the team is small and treated to a drink. In Vizimbir, a drink is a cross between kvass, mead and birch sap, on the basis of which it is prepared.

Pancakes are very tasty and satisfying, they consist of three layers: pancakes and porridge. One such pancake can weigh a hundred grams. They decided to break their hands.

In Vizimbire, there is a recreation center called the ethnographic tourist complex. This is a family business, the beginning was laid by Robert Vitalievich Antonov, who installed a bathhouse for fellow villagers at one of the springs on the outskirts of the village. The bathhouse turned out to be noble, people began to travel here, guest houses appeared, and it turned around. Now tourism continues to develop his wife, son Ivan and granddaughter Anechka.

Please note that the purest water from the spring flows through the wooden gutters and enters the same wooden tub. They say that the water here is saturated with silver ions, so it has a very beneficial effect on the body.

In one of the dry years, they built an original well.

Now there is more than one bathhouse. A second one was built nearby. Ah, how cool it is to succumb to the heat, and then plunge into the font with spring water. In the foreground is another sculptural composition, The Unwritten Boy.

The springs were here for a long time. If you come to Vizimbir, you will definitely be given a tour of the territory and will certainly show the wells in which flax was soaked before. Each family had its own well.

There are several houses for tourists. Spartan conditions: bunk beds, outdoor toilet. But people come here not to lie on their beds and watch TV. Here is a completely different rest: chic nature, clean air, water, bath. Real Mari food will be brought from the village.

However, there is one "VIP-house".

House for the newlyweds. It's great to celebrate a wedding here or just have a honeymoon.

It is very nice to walk around the surroundings. Mostly in Mari El, the flat landscape and only in Vizimbire hills covered with forests. Here the truth is very picturesque and very sincere.

Vizimbir is located 110 kilometers from Yoshkar-Ola. The tourist complex does not yet have a site, everything is simple. But there is a VKontakte group. You need to register beforehand.
