Eggs on the table! Confusion in a foreign restaurant

A simple meal order can turn into a wild absurdity, and all because of the language barrier. Moreover, your knowledge of English will not save if the interlocutor misunderstood.

So, ordering eggs for breakfast, you can get no scrambled eggs at all!

In different countries, in different ways, but here is a concrete example. Street restaurants in the Middle East can be divided into two large categories - hummus / falafel and meat. If you are not a fan of oriental street food, then there is nothing to do in the falafel, go to the meat. There are not only meat, but also more familiar dishes.

Just do not rush to ask for "eggs", just do not pronounce this word! Arabs speak minimal English, sufficient for ordering, but there may be a misunderstanding and instead of fried eggs they will bring you ... lamb eggs! And this is a normal dish in these parts.

So order better shakshuku! This is a traditional oriental scrambled egg with baked yolks and tomatoes, an incredibly tasty thing.
