Thanks to modern science and the hard, dedicated work of animal photographers, today we can carefully consider quite frightening, but completely harmless to humans creatures called Polychaetes (or polychaete worms). These very unsympathetic creatures are poorly studied, because they live on the seabed. Some of them chose freshwater reservoirs, for example, Baikal, as their habitat.

Despite the fact that in the pictures you will see very small "monsters", representatives of this species of living organisms can sometimes reach 3 meters in length. These worms feed on bacteria and simple organisms, which are successfully collected at the bottom with the help of their terrifying jaws.
