Visiting a good sect

Once again flying to Bangkok, I saw a giant complex with unusual structures.

I was immediately interested in the golden buildings of cyclopic sizes and incomprehensible purpose.

The territory of the complex stretches over 3 kilometers and from above very much resembled an alien base

Of course, I noted a point on the GPS navigator and at the first opportunity I decided to visit this unusual place.

So, a week later, when I traveled north from Bangkok by bus, and then hitchhiked on a truck and at the end in a pickup truck, I was dropped off at the construction site of some giant terminals the size of a large airport.

Seeing no one around, I went to the sparkling gold flying saucer. There was no one there either, and I dared to come closer.

The body of the flying saucer was covered with hundreds of thousands of Buddha figures.

It looked like they were made of gold.

Judging by the size of the terminals under construction, millions of people are planning to gather here.

Why and why I could not understand and went to find a clue to the neighboring complex, a couple of kilometers from the building.

On the way, I photographed birds, not otherwise saving our planet.

And some sacred egg behind a very thick glass.

Having reached a gigantic photograph, I finally met people.

Mostly monks. They sat on the floor and in chairs in large groups. Approximately, in this complex there were a couple of thousand people. Some kind of hypnotic music sounded, a strange voice spoke something in Thai, and hundreds of television screens showed how thousands of Thai people give donations to monks.

Nobody paid attention to me in shorts and with a big camera. Regretting that he hadn’t pre-google about this place, I stealthily took a couple of photos and started looking for a way out.

Everywhere there were some alien structures, consisting of hundreds of thousands of Buddha figures.

Finally, I found a direction for the exit and met people in the ordinary consciousness.

After seeing less than half, I decided to return here more prepared after the construction was completed.

P.S. The name of the place is Wat Dhammakaya. As it turned out, all this is managed by a very powerful organization. At the ceremonies, up to a million people gather, everyone meditates in a single rhythm. It looks very impressive. I don’t know if it is possible to take pictures and move freely there.
