How 2 hours a week in nature can improve health

Often people think that in order to be happy and healthy, they need to turn their lives 180 degrees. However, more and more scientists say that even small changes that have become a daily habit have the most positive effect. Even if your new, healthy health hobby takes a total of just a couple of hours a week.

According to new data obtained by researchers at the University of Exeter, people who spend two hours a week in the fresh air are more likely to feel good and have a higher level of psychological well-being than those who do not exist in nature. At the same time, it does not matter whether one walk per week lasts two hours or whether it is a lot of short trips into the fresh air throughout all seven days. There are also no special differences in where exactly you spend these treasured "minutes of health": the countryside and the city park are equally good. The most important thing is to spend at least 120 minutes surrounded by nature.

Of course, the benefits of communicating with nature and fresh air for human health is not news. The essence of recent research is that for the first time during the study of the relationship of outdoor walks and health, scientists were able to recommend the exact "dose" of outdoor activities. A large-scale study involved about two tens of thousands of people. Surprisingly, the results were the same for all respondents, regardless of their age, gender, profession, ethnicity, or social class.
