Korean Air to deliver Boeing 787 Dreamliner on flights from Moscow to Seoul

Korean Air will launch the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the Moscow-Seoul route from March 31, 2019. In April, the "dream liner" with premium cabins, innovative interior lighting and air purification systems will completely replace the Airbus A330 on KE923 and KE924 flights.

In the first months, flights will be operated every day, with the exception of Tuesday and Thursday. Flight KE924 departs from Sheremetyevo International Airport at 18:55 and arrives in Seoul at 9:40 the next day. Flight KE923 departs from Seoul at 13:20, arriving in Moscow at 16:50 on the same day. From June to September, the flight schedule will be daily.

Mr. Song Song Hwe, Regional Director of Korean Air in Russia and the CIS, notes that replacing the liner will increase the number of seats in the economy class from 188 to 245 on each flight. The renewal of the aircraft is connected with the growing demand for transportation between Russia and South Korea.

The Dreamliner is the latest Korean Air aircraft. It is distinguished by high fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness, innovative design, lower noise level and increased ceiling height. The liner portholes are 78% larger than their predecessors, and their dimming is regulated by the press of a button. Five intelligent lighting modes allow passengers to feel better during the flight. Compared with previous generation liners, the humidity in the cabin also became higher.

Onboard there are 269 seats, including six cabins in the first class, 18 cabins in the prestigious class and 245 seats in the economy class.

The prestige class chairs are full cabins with a private corridor and are laid out 180 degrees. The step of economy class chairs reaches 86 cm. On board travelers can choose from one of three dishes of Western and Korean cuisine. More than 20 types of special meals are available for pre-order.

Korean Air’s flight schedule allows you to travel to Denpasar, Phuket, Sydney, Auckland, Nadi, Tokyo, Nagoya, Guam and other destinations with convenient transfers in Seoul. In anticipation of a transfer flight, Korean Air passengers can take one of South Korea’s free guided tours, take a shower or spend time in the lounge. At the airport, there is a concert venue, a museum of Korean culture, a library, as well as dozens of restaurants and shops Duty Free.

At the end of last year, the Korean Air long-haul business class was named the best according to the Business Traveler Russia and CIS Awards, and Korean Air entered the top five airlines according to the National Geographic Traveler Awards. In February 2019, Korean Air won the prestigious Russian Skyway Service Award in the category "Best Airborne Entertainment and Communications System."
