Nyack, NY - Hudson City

I continue the theme of photographing New York's environs and places where I have already been so many times that even somehow ceased to perceive them as places of interest for shooting. And then something came upon me, and I decided to capture how everything lives there. This time, the town of Nyak, which is located on the very banks of the Hudson River, was only half an hour from Manhattan. A small and cozy city that has become very prettier in recent years. There is a small center with a bus station, Starbucks and a bunch of lovely shops and restaurants. Around there are neighborhoods built up with old houses of varying degrees of beauty, well-groomed and safe. To the south begin old mansions with huge plots. And there are several parks, a hospital, schools, social housing and even the Russian Orthodox Church. I did not set myself the task of removing everything that is there, but simply walked around the city and took a picture of what I liked.

In Nayak there are a lot of beautiful houses built in the second half of the 19th century. Many of them were bought out and restored to a good quality. Some are in far from the best condition and are still waiting for their new owners.

The city is located on the banks of the Hudson River and descends from the hills to the riverbank.

The building of the city administration.

Residential development of the 19th century.

Who will remember which series was shot here? He is fresh. According to the plot, the action takes place in New York on Staten Island, but was filmed in Nyack. Cinema deceives you all the time :)

Met me on the road. Who knows what kind of beast?

Car service.

Which deals exclusively with Porsche cars.

The reverse side of buildings on the main street.

It was really cold outside and an icy wind was blowing, but the girl walked along the street in slippers.

Interesting sign.

Two-story house.

Street with town houses. A large LGBT community lives in Nayak, so these flags can be found on every corner.

The car of the chief of the city fire department.

One of the old and recently restored mansions.

In the shop window.

It is good when houses are of different colors and with different decoration materials on the facade.

One of the streets leading to the Hudson.

I drove past me, but I did not have time to change the camera settings.

Another beautifully restored mansion on the beach.

An old but still functioning fire station.
