Santa Giusta: where does the unusual lift of a student Eiffel lead, which stands in the middle of Lisbon

However, this was until Raul du Ponsard came up with a very simple way to help people - he created a steam-powered metal lift that connected the Baix and Bayrro Alto districts. They called him Santa Zhusta.

A beautiful neo-Gothic construction still helps pedestrians overcome a steep slope. And in 1906, the elevator was modernized and completely transferred to electric traction. The cabin can accommodate up to 25 people at a time. Rising, you will find yourself directly on the covered bridge that leads to Karma Square. In addition, on the upper level there is a viewing platform that offers amazing views of the entire area and Rossiu Square.
