What do girls from the Netherlands Navy look like in the service and in life

A resident of the Netherlands Vivian Coylards is a certified and very talented photographer. She only shoots people because she loves to recognize them, peer into the depths of consciousness of the heroes of each of her shoots and show through the photo the essence of people.

One of Coylards’s latest photographic projects is called Behind Her Uniform. The heroines of the shooting were girls serving in the Netherlands Navy. The photographer says that from our own experience I was convinced that we never see an ordinary person behind a military uniform, because these clothes make a strong impression that suppresses the perception of the individuality of who is in it. Simply put, seeing a person in shape, we often stop perceiving him as just a person - with his emotions, traits, temperament, etc. That is why Coylards decided to take a series of shots in which Dutch military women appear in uniform near their barracks and without them at home. It's amazing how much this changes the perception of girls!
