Menus and prices of cafes and restaurants popular in the USSR

If you found Soviet times and were in Soviet public catering, then you probably still remember in colors how it was. But here we are certainly not talking about elite restaurants like Moscow, Prague, Stolichniy or Tsentralny, but about institutions that are simpler. Each of them was accompanied by tasteless food, prepared mainly on a different army uniform, aluminum forks, dirty countertops, unwashed glasses, diluted beer and numerous bursts, bypassing which the administrator had to slip a dozen secretly. And it’s not even worth reminding that all this was generously flavored with a complete lack of service and rude waiters who scornfully throw menus on the table and do not miss the moment to put the client in place.

However, good moments invariably come up in memory. They recall, for example, how many secretly added to the carafes alcohol brought with them, romantic slow dances and modest young ladies, and, of course, prices ... What prices were then!

We offer you to get acquainted with the menu of several popular Soviet institutions, as well as with the prices of those times.
