How do the richest Romanian witches live?

Photographer from Slovakia Lucia Szekerkova traveled to Romania to meet there with the self-proclaimed queen of fortune tellers Maria Kampina, which locals call much more simply - “witch”. It is believed that Romanian gypsies are supposedly able to see the future, so it was very interesting for Lucia to get acquainted with Maria, to see how the local witches live and how they develop their craft, transmitted from generation to generation from time immemorial.

A photographer from Slovakia admits that many women asked them to pay from 20 to 50 euros for the photo shoot. However, after a few days, she managed to meet with the self-proclaimed queen of the witches and make a deal with her. For the opportunity to photograph her, as well as her acquaintances, Lucia Sekerkova had to promise that the newspaper in which she worked would publish the full story about her and post her photo on the cover.

Fortune-telling and prediction of the future is an ancient craft that local women are allowed to do. For them, this is the only way to achieve respect and success. So here girls begin to learn witchcraft from an early age.

Lucia managed to communicate with some of the richest and most respected witches who were able to create their own successful business with the help of ancient rituals.

Gold is an integral part of Romanian culture, and they strive to decorate houses here as luxuriously and expensively as possible.
