7 most distant islands of the world

Most people, choosing a place to travel, prefer something less distant and costly. However, it seems that with a large supply of money, we could go to any, even the farthest point in the world. In fact, this is not entirely true. Our planet is huge, and some of its corners have the opportunity to visit only special state expeditions. Today we’ll talk about the most separated islands in the world:

Tromelin (France)

The very small French island of Tromelin is located 450 kilometers from Madagascar and rises above the sea by only 7 meters. According to oceanologists, this place will completely disappear under water in a few decades.

Pitcairn (UK)

This island is one of the most difficult to visit, because from the nearest airport on the Gambier archipelago you will need to go by sea for a day and a half. About 50 people live here, each of whom is considered a descendant of rebels from a merchant ship that arrived here in 1790. The company was made up of residents of Tahiti, by any means brought in such a distant corner.

Cocos Islands (Australia)

These islands consist of 27 coral atolls, to get to them, you need to overcome a distance of a thousand kilometers from Java and 2 thousand kilometers from Australia. There are about 600 people here.

Floreana (Ecuador)

Mostly, there are many penguins who got their name from the name of the island, but people live here, of course, there are not many of them - about 50 people. Macquarie is under the protection and control of the Tasmanian government.
